Don’t Break the Chain, December Edition
My top priority for this space during the month of December is creating a chain of gym activities that will not be broken.
Today was Day One. I worked out from home on the Assault Bike while watching Ozarks for 35 minutes.

Week 32
Last week’s goals:
This weekend was really interesting to me primarily because I feel like I really reaped what I sowed. I’ve felt a little like I’ve been spinning my wheels for a while now. Traveling hasn’t exactly helped that, but now that I’m planted again I can’t really use that as an excuse anymore. I saw a huuuuuuuuge financial return this week in a lot of the things that I’ve been working on and am happy to say that my debt is actually now BELOW 16K (even though it was still about 17 last week).
Onto great things…
Finish at least 7 days of the One Month HTML Course
I got through Day 12 and a half. Yep, I was just one lesson shore of completely crushing this goal. Now that I think about it, I know exactly how I ended up stopping in a weird place and I’m super frustrated with myself about it. At the end of the day, it is what it is and I hope to be wrapping up this course soon.
Read one chapter per day of Code (so that the day of the month aligns with the chapter).
Ready for this? I did not read once last week. I was going through my habit tracker and these last two weeks of reading have been the worst since February. Preeeetty shitty, if I say so myself.
Check in on Tending Sheet from Powersheets
I don’t know that I could reccomend my Powersheets enough. I’m going to start gifting these to people instead of Triple A (yes, that’s something I actually do). I feel like I’m working towards something bigger, which is really, really nice.
Week 2 of SEO Summer School
Nope, unfortunately, I didn’t get to this this week. My goal is going to be to finish the course over the month of August. There are four weeks left of the course and there are five weeks in August. With Casey gone, there’s absolutely no reason I shouldn’t be able to get this taken care of.
Week 1 of Smartly MBA
Yes! It’s nice that we have group study sessions twice a week. I’m trying to use those as mandatory work time. I figure that if I do those on Mondays and Thursday and then add one more session (Wednesdays), I can get closer to my monthly goal of having a life schedule AND stay on track for this.
One concern I do have is that I would still really like to participate in Monday Night Girls Night with a local group of women which might not work if I want to commit to Monday Night Smartly N Chill. I’m thinking about every other or something, but we’ll see. Now that I’m in the Girls Night Facebook group, I can make case-by-case decisions. We’re going to play this one by ear.
This week’s goals:
- Finish at least 7 days of the One Month HTML Course (start: Day 12)
- Finish Code.
- Check in on Tending Sheet from Powersheets
- Week 2 of SEO Summer School
- Week 2 of Smartly MBA
- Find one freelance writing opportunity (sponsored post okay).

- Elite Blog Academy

Week 31
Last week’s goals:
Another week of travel where I’m left kicking myself for setting overly-ambitious goals. How many times do I need to remind myself that I don’t get things done while traveling? Apparently, too many. I’m really bad at keeping a routine while traveling, so it’s not going to happen. This week I was in Baltimore from Tuesday through Saturday for work. I got to spend time with my friends which was amazing. I really had a great time.
This week is about getting back into my routine and building a plan for my SMARTLY MBA WHICH I GOT INTO WHICH IS OMYGOSH. (Can you tell I’m excited?!) It’s all about figuring out a routine/plan that works.
Finish at least 7 days of the One Month HTML Course
I got through Day 6. Nothing so far has been super difficult, which is good. I’m hoping to get back to at least one lesson per day starting today!
Read one chapter per day of Code (so that the day of the month aligns with the chapter).
I fell a little behind. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of one chapter per week, so that I can still finish by the end of the month.
Check in on Tending Sheet from Powersheets
Yes! I’m still doing a good job of keeping up with my powersheets!
Write
Nope. Writer’s Block has still hit my like a brick. I think I need some freelance writing gigs to get these juices going.
