Last week’s goals:
Overall, I feel pretty good about the progress I’ve made. I’m still struggling with making time for everything and establishing a routine, but I had two epiphanies: I shouldn’t be afraid to outsource* things to the experts and it’s okay to give up. Here’s what I mean- I’ve been trying and struggling to build a workout plan that had the things I wanted and needed and that I was motivated to do. Well, for way more than I ever thought would be reasonable to spend, I’m going to join a local Crossfit which gives me the community, the workouts, and the excuse to get out of the house on the regular. They’re experts and I’m going to pay to get those things from them.
Second, there’s no reason I have to keep beating a dead horse, which is what I’ve been doing with that Coursera Course. It’s clearly not working, so I’m not going to work on it anymore, even if that means I fail. I’m not succeeding, so why not just put my effort into something that is worthwhile instead of agonizing over how I still can’t make progress on this silly class.
No longer doing this, but you can still see some of my programming in general on GitHub.
